When solicited for a law enforcement donation, it is natural to question, "Is my donation of direct benefit to local law enforcement?"

Solicitation that involves other LOCAL Law Enforcement Organizations include:

    COUNTY DARE PROGRAM (Van Wert S.O.)

    CITY DARE PROGRAM  (Van Wert P.D.)

    OFFICER PHIL SAFETY PROGRAM   (Van Wert P.D.)

    NATIONAL CHILD SAFETY COUNCIL (Delphos P.D.)

   CHRISTMAS WITH KIDS PROGRAM (Van Wert S.O. Auxiliary)

If a Person's goal of a Law Enforcement Donation is to keep the benefit in the Van Wert Community, consider the following things:

    Is the solicitor's return phone number, a local number?

    Is the solicitor wishing you to mail your funds to an address within our community?

    Is the solicitation something that has been advertised  in the local media?

    Is the solicitation for a well known local program such as those in listed on this web page?
