Blizzard of 1978 (3 photos)

It was one cold windy night, when only 3 or 4 streets were only partially open.   County and City workers with front loader, and smaller equipment  were unable to open U.S. 127 to the Hospital due to drifting by the Shell Gas Station. 

This blizzard prompted the purchase of a the city's first front loader, and snowblower  even though the equipment has never come close to the challenge it would have had that night more than 20 years ago..
